Starwolf is a Galactic Disco band hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. They blend the warmth of vintage soul with the shimmer of future nostalgia, creating a sound that feels both familiar and otherworldly. Their songs are built on groovy basslines, dreamy synths, and falsetto-driven melodies that bring the pulse of the dance floor to the edge of the universe.
Formed by longtime friends Max Sauer, Tim Moore, and Chris Rhein, Starwolf fuses funk, disco, and electronic influences into a sound that’s as soulful as it is danceable. The band recently shared the stage with Franz Ferdinand and Donny Benét, and is known for turning retro influences into something fresh and unmistakably their own.
Their 2024 album, Tropical Disco, has garnered millions of streams and a growing audience on TikTok, earning the band recognition for its vibrant, modern take on disco and funk. The record features legendary bassist Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Empire of the Sun), who also appears on their forthcoming 2026 album. With a new, unannounced album on the horizon, Starwolf has already released two standout singles, I’m So Dangerous and Good Together, hinting at an exciting new chapter in their evolution.
