Sqwerv (2 sets) NIGHT 1 w/ Splendid Blend
Lost Lake Presents Sqwerv (2 sets) NIGHT 1 with Splendid Blend on Monday, December 30th. Sqwerv’s roots run deep in the Denver music scene. Those roots began to take hold as the band started hosting local open jams and playing gigs at small bars and venues in 2017. Since then, Sqwerv has become a staple in Denver’s music scene with bands like Magic Beans, Squeaky Feet, Eminence Ensemble and Rado. This four-piece Indie-Psych Rock band’s love for classic rock, psychedelic music and improvisation creates a sound that is refreshingly original and exciting. Sqwerv realizes the importance of good songwriting and is always pushing themselves in the improvisation. The band spends a great deal of time writing lyrics, composing, and developing song structure that has grown into a catalogue that ranges from twelve minute prog songs inspired by Homer’s Odyssey to two minute psych songs about love. They are fiercely driven to get to those transcendent, improvised spaces that all jam-music lovers crave. Sqwerv continues to deliver to their audiences through groove, counterpoint, polyrhythms and risk taking. In the last two years the band has released two studio albums, three live albums and completed two national tours with no plans on stopping. They have had the opportunity to open for acts like Lespecial, Spafford, Eggy and Big Something. They hold themselves to a rigorous tour schedule playing unique shows for their fans on a regular basis. Steller w/ Venture 5 + Mocha
Lost Lake Presents Steller with Venture 5 and Mocha on Friday, November 22 — Angelica Bafitis, professionally known as Producer/DJ “STELLER”, has rapidly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting up-and-coming names in electronic music. The South Florida based artist’s long running passion for music stems early from her childhood but STELLER continued to pursue that passion for music throughout college, eventually receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Technology, and establishing herself as a proficient audio engineer and producer. After college, STELLER began exploring a transition into live performances by DJing at small clubs in Greece, where her family is from. Those performances ignited a fire which prompted her return to the US where she could further develop her career in a more bass/electronic focused market. STELLER’s eclectic and unique sound has often been characterized as a mix of heavy/wonky bass, groovy vibes, and trap beats and is showcased throughout her discography. In 2023, her Collaboration with Zingara – ‘Find It In Your Mind’- surpassed one million streams on Spotify and garnered support from major artists including Clozee and LSDream. Not stopping there, she unleashed her sophomore EP, ‘Open Your Eyes,’ under the banner of Mersiv’s Morflo Records, and two scorching singles on Insomniac’s Bassrush Records and Boogie T’s Drama Cub Records. It’s no surprise that STELLER’s funky and energetic bass sound has earned her the admiration and respect of these heavyweight artists and labels. STELLER has proven her skills go far beyond her production abilities with captivating support performances for world-renown DJs including Subtronics, Ganja White Night, and Peekaboo. Those performances catapulted her into the festival circuit, where the STELLER experience has enchanted audiences at iconic music festivals including Lost Lands, Lollapalooza, Forbidden Kingdom, and Electric Daisy Carnival. Fans will be fully immersed into STELLER’s sonic universe through her upcoming release and tour schedule, so keep your eyes, and most importantly minds open.
