Lost Lake Presents Daisy The Great on Sunday, May 31 —
Kelley Dugan and Mina Walker met as acting majors at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. After writing songs together following class, the duo soon formed Daisy the Great.
After a few years playing locally around New York City, they released their first EP, I’ve Got A Few Friends And I Wish They Were Mine (2018), featuring the lead single “The Record Player Song,” followed by their debut album, I’m Not Getting Any Taller (2019), which they recorded and performed with friends from college.
“The Record Player Song” later blew up on TikTok, leading the band to release a new version with fellow New York pop artists AJR. The track went on to be certified gold and has amassed over 450 million streams.
From there, the band released their sophomore album, All You Need Is Time (2022), along with a series of singles and EPs, including Spectacle: Daisy the Great vs. Tony Visconti, which they wrote with the legendary producer.
Over the years, Daisy the Great has organically grown their audience by being completely inimitable. On their latest studio album, The Rubber Teeth Talk (2025), produced by Catherine Marks, tight harmonies, sharp lyrics, and a keen melodic sensibility are the only rules. Each song stands as its own surprising centerpiece, a reminder that the voice itself is an instrument.
