Spaceface w/ Petite Amie + Pleasure Prince
Lost Lake Presents Spaceface with Petite Amie and Pleasure Prince on Tuesday, August 16 — Spaceface is a self described “Retro Futurist Dream Rock” (but you can call them psychedelic-pop) band from Memphis, TN and Los Angeles, CA, active since 2012 and including members of The Flaming Lips and Pierced. Always eavesdropping on the Universe whispering its chaotic will, the groovy bunch harnesses the transcendent pulse of the spacetime continuum into catchy songs that whirl and twirl, bend and stretch, attract and propel. Their unique alloy of dream-pop, funk rock and post-disco, charged by the Sun, ultimately shines way past our collective bedtime, akin to a glow-in-the-dark Slime Science Lab kit. The psych outfit are now announcing Anemoia, a second full-length album that should please fans of Beck, Tame Impala and MGMT. The forthcoming long play is scheduled for release on January 28th, 2022 via Montreal-based Mothland. Over the course of eight years, the collective has toured all over the United States, as well as Canada, with stops at international festivals such as SXSW, Desert Daze, Canadian Music Week, Treefort Music Fest, Hangout Music Festival, God Save The Queen City and Distorsion Psych Fest. Always equipped with a state of the art, self made light-show & crowd participating antics sometimes accompanied by weirdish stage props and/or gadgets, the ever-evolving American act provides their dedicated following with thrill-inducing D.I.Y. performances that only get crazier as they perfect their experimental craft. The project’s founding members include Jake Ingalls (formaerly of The Flaming Lips), Matt Strong, Eric Martin, and Daniel Quinlan, but the lead research team recently enrolled Los Angeles-based musical mind, Katie Pierce from Pierced, with whom sonic experiments continue. Ultimately, Spaceface’s goal is to acknowledge the blurred pain that lurks in the corners of one’s vision on a day-to-day basis while providing a brief escape for anyone who needs or desires it. In light of years of thorough research (or a dream to that effect) that have confirmed music, as an artform, to be a potent medicine for both your mind and your feet, the psych rockers abide. – 16+, under 16 admitted with ticketed guardian
Fleece w/ Dry Ice + Stella Nøva
Lost Lake Presents Fleece with Dry Ice and Stella Nøva on Saturday, November 19 — “If two men just ain’t right, then I’m living in a world that’s upside down,” Matt Rogers, lead vocalist and songwriter of Montreal-based LGBTQ indie-rock band Fleece, croons on “Upside Down”, a song on their gorgeous new LP, Stunning and Atrocious. On this album, the band isn’t holding back on sharing their roadmap for how they see the world. In fact, Fleece has never paused, even for a moment, to define themselves or add labels to their experience, instead opting to open up and be. This band is au naturel and it shows, right from their earliest days and rise to notoriety through their rice cakemunching “How to write an Alt-J song” viral video (which amassed 12 million views). Since that video, that notoriety has only amplified. Subsequent releases and antics haveadded fuel to this fire and grown large and dedicated followings on Spotify, Instagram and TikTok, resulting in worldwide audiences and millions of monthly streams. The band’s recent singles “Upside Down”, “Do U Mind? (Leave The Light On)”, and “Love Song for the Haters” have each leapt past the 2-million stream mark. Along the way the band found themselves on tour across North America multiple times, supporting renowned bands Tokyo Police Club, Born Ruffians, Mt. Joy, and others as their demand as a headliner grew in these same markets. While having been focused on the songwriting of lead vocalist Matt Rogers and the relentless energy of drummer and co-founder Ethan Soil, Fleece has always been about being a band. Fleece’s previous music had drawn from musicians no longer in the project, but it was the emergence of Megan Ennenberg (guitar/vocals) and Jameson Daniel (guitar) as members that completed the line up and contributed to the cohesive whole, the final resting place, the rebirth of Fleece. And it is from this new Fleece where their newest emerging musical work, the album Stunning and Atrocious, came to fruition. Said Matt, “I think we’re finally Fleece. In the past, the process was more about bringing my own compositions to the band, but this album is a complete coming together of all of our brains. We played whatever we came up with, stream of consciousness style, and then restructured the songs until they feltright. It was a bit daunting to give up control at first, but the product and process of collaborating made Fleece more exciting for all of us. I definitely grew from it too. Song two (“Like It A Lot”) is about exactly this – letting the power go and feeling good.”- 16+, under 16 admitted with ticketed guardian

Dreamgirl w/ CD GHOST
Lost Lake Presents Dreamgirl with CD GHOST on Sunday, August 21 — CD GHOST Cody Han and Blake Dimas produce a danceable brand of surrealist dream pop under the name CD Ghost. The pair have journeyed from the lo-fi glaze of their debut EP “Ghost Hunting” to the richly ethereal dream bops of subsequent EPs “Here It Comes Again” and “Dreams We Share”, with tracks such as “Undercurrent” and “Roll the Dice” earning them attention online. Now the group joins Born Losers Records for their first LP-length project, “Night Music”. The project sees the duo expand their watercolor dream pop palette toward the edges and intersections of dark wave, avant-pop, and shoegaze. Written during a pandemic while the duo was split between L.A. and Beijing, the project reflects on solitude, change, and the passage of time. Like their previous work, the LP is full of hook-laden, beat-driven lamentations that find a way to stick in your ears and make their home. This time however, the tracklist contains both the group’s darkest and catchiest songs to date. The LP was conceived as an ode to night, inspired by the musical tradition of nocturnes – songs written about or for the night. Experiencing the LP is akin to quietly sitting through the night, observing its changes and watching the rise of the moon as cool air begins to surround. “Night Music” is out 11/11/22 on Born Losers Records. – 16+, under 16 admitted with ticketed guardian

Grace Ives w/ Super Bummer
Lost Lake Presents Grace Ives with Super Bummer on Friday, September 16th–16+, under 16 admitted with ticketed guardian Janky Star is the new album from pop-polymath Grace Ives, following 2019’s critically acclaimed 2nd. After writing and doing initial production on this collection of songs at home in Brooklyn, Ives teamed up with co-producer Justin Raisen (Yves Tumor, Charli XCX) in Los Angeles to consummate Janky Star’s expanded vision. Still only in her mid-twenties, the record sounds like Ives grown up: through the ten sophisti-pop tracks, there’s more deliberate space that lends breathing room to her most vulnerable, exposed songwriting yet. Throughout songs that are still full of punchy synths and unconventional rhythms, Ives uses the quiet spaces in between to honestly reflect on her ongoing struggle to find stability and happiness. Touching on sobriety, overdoses, and the desire to escape from the realities of modern life, the record also focuses on the rewards of slowing down, and finally finding a home for herself in the ever-shifting world. Ives’ penchant for poetic musings on specific details and references has always been part of her enchantment, but on Janky Star she finally settles into an image that’s entirely her own. “Everyone has a shitty star tattoo/stick n poke, that’s never perfect, or is rough around the edges. A beautiful thing to think about is that stars on earth look like blobs but in space really defined structures,” she explains. This fully-formed version of herself is the album’s guiding light, and sees Ives take confident steps towards deciding her own fate. Both self-possessed and yearning, insular and affecting, Janky Star’s effervescent daydreams are ultimately triumphant, where ultimately the very act of surviving can be the biggest achievement of all.
