Trestles x The Dirty Turkeys w/ Five Minutes Out
Lost Lake Presents Trestles x The Dirty Turkeys with Five Minutes Out on Friday, June 5th. Trestles: Trestles is a surf/psych outfit from Santa Cruz, California. Formed in 2021, the band has spent the last several years developing a sound based in 1960’s west coast garage rock tradition. From their early days as a fresh faced college rock band to their more recent years as garage revivalists, the band has consistently been rooted in the culture of Santa Cruz. With their own take on a surf/60’s revival sound, Trestles’ current day sound is the byproduct of shared time studying and obsessing over the history of music recording arts at the local community college. The band’s attitude about “…what makes guitar bands worth anything in the age of infinitely accessible stimulation,” seems to be Trestles’ only traceable ethos. Seeing the current landscape of independent music projects as “…a bunch of short-form theatre acts,” the band’s only goal is to do what they feel is actually worth doing, and to do it well. The Dirty Turkeys: With a sound they’ve dubbed “Acid Cow Punk,” a gritty fusion of psychedelia, surf, punk, and outlaw country, The Dirty Turkeys deliver a raw, unfiltered take on psychedelic rock. Formed in the fall of 2022, the band emerged from Boulder, Colorado’s basement jam scenes, carving out a sound rooted in late-night sessions between friends. What began as informal jams has evolved into a high-octane touring act headlining stages across the U.S. Consisting of childhood friends Sam Baker and Ty Tullar and brothers Brad and Russ Hansen the band thrives on deep-rooted chemistry. In the spring of 2025, The Dirty Turkeys rolled out their debut album Cowboy Caravan, a wild and genre-bending showcase of their sound. They were soon named “Denver’s Best Acid Rock Band” and made the list of “Must See Rock Bands of 2025”. Drawing inspiration from icons like The Velvet Underground, The Doors, Dick Dale, and The Stooges, The Dirty Turkeys have built a reputation for delivering high-energy, immersive live performances that feel both timeless and on the edge of something new. Never confined to one lane, his music is a constant evolution — each project revealing a new chapter, a new direction, a new leaf being unturned. Aranda competed in the seventeenth season of American Idol after wowing judges during his audition with two original songs. Since competing on American Idol, Aranda has performed on stages around the world. He has also released several full-length records and EPs, including his most recent album, Farewell Superstar (2025). Aranda also writes and performs with metal band Seven Hours After Violet, a supergroup featuring System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, Left To Suffer’s Taylor Barber, and Winds of Plague’s Michael “Morgoth” Montoya and Josh Johnson.
