The Connecticut-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist broke through with “handgun” in 2023, generating 4 million-plus streams and paving the way for his debut how many EP. He captivated crowds at shows with everyone from Jeremy Zucker to The Head and the Heart, Grace Enger and Alix Page. The three-track bundle jessie maintained his moment in 2024. The title track went viral when country superstar Zach Bryan shared it on IG, while OnesToWatch raved, “These three relatable tracks are heaven for fans of confessional indie folk and those who love to see dark themes transformed into something beautiful.” Now, his words cut right to the core on his new single “Fingers and Clothes,” a track that starts off chronicling Jake’s struggle to give up cigarettes and veers into a past relationship infiltrating his current love life. The song is on his forthcoming full-length debut, George, out July 11 [Mercury Records]. He’ll share the album with fans across North America on his headline tour George on Tour this August.
