Lost Lake Presents Seb Lowe with Katie Couriel on Tuesday, January 19th.
Seb Lowe:
Seb Lowe’s growing songbook uses melodic indie as the soundbed for songs which use probing wit and dark humour to address zeitgeist issues ranging from social injustice to politics and sexism. Those songs are connecting with an ever-growing audience on two fronts: with an attention-grabbing social media presence which has attracted almost 17 million likes on TikTok, and live shows in which his charisma is as compelling as his intense performances.
Now Seb Lowe is set to reach a much broader audience in 2026 with the confirmation of a major UK, EU & US tours. Seb says, It’s all pretty good. Stupid good. First time in Europe & US. It’s not the kind of thing we do. Or have ever done. An absolute privilege. Keep forgetting & remembering the silly fact that in a few months we’ll be off round Europe spreading music & words. Never been travelling. This is probably better. We hope any onlookers are into it.
Still just 22-years-old, Seb Lowe’s influences come from a broad array of genres, but from artists which all share a flair for lyricism that’s at turns poetic, social realist or savagely humorous: Sinead O’Connor, Led Zeppelin, Arctic Monkeys, Eminem and David Bowie.
First emerging during the pandemic, Seb Lowe made his debut with the 2021 EP Half-Decent and has continued to evolve with each release, more recently with No One to Kill In The Sky, which has reached nearly 7 million streams. His ability to amplify everyday observations into something bigger has continued, from the metaphor-heavy Cats & Dogs to the parallels between war and social division explored on Little Caesar, and the playful reflections on the passing of time in Football Players. Along the way, Lowe has taken stage at some of the UK’s leading festivals, including Truck, Y NOT? and Glastonbury.
Kate Couriel:
Kate Couriel is an emerging singer-songwriter & violinist from Manchester, creating alternative-indie music that explores themes of feminine rage & social injustice. Her songs blend lyrically charged storytelling with her classical background, resulting in defiant music that demands to be heard. With highly anticipated singles such as “Patriarchy’s Dead” gaining momentum online, Kate Couriel is quickly establishing herself as a bold new voice in music.
